Good morning,
I just wanted to quickly pop in to share the wonderful new sketch at Scrapfriends this month.
It was a great sketch to play with as I very rarely do the "multiple" photo page. I might duplicate the same pic but to use a series of pics was really difficult for me.
When we went away recently we took the kids fishing for the first time so it was a good opportunity to scrap these pics.
I tried to keep my page as "earthy" as I could to compliment the nature theme.
Can you see the circles of wire?? Well they are actually guitar strings. Hubby was about to throw them away but as a scrapper, I knew there was much more to a guitar string than meets the eye.....lol.
On the homefront, we are still going through some renovations. The kitchen is almost finished but we have pulled up the flooring downstairs to lay a new floor.....so they just turned up this morning to lay it and guess what....they were not the boards I ordered.....grrrr. So now I am off to pick a new board and in the meantime we get to live on a dirty concrete slab until the new ones get delivered.....does this sort of thing only happen to us or does everyone have probs when ordering a product of some sort???
So it's Hi Ho Hi Ho, off to the floor shop I go......
Jasx

You made me smile Jas, I can imagine you Hi Hoing!!! off to the shop. Echuca, we go there often and have caught a couple of cod from time to time (in season of course). Mentioning this made me think of a photo I could scrap. xxx
ReplyDeleteYour layout is stunning Jas! I think you do multi pic layouts very well. :)
ReplyDeleteLol! It sounds like something that will happen to me. Luckily it's not winter. Concrete floors would be a tad cold then. How exciting to get all the renovations done though. And a new kitchen... very nice! :)
Oh you have created a wonderful layout with this sketch.. love all the back ground details.. and I think you are the first person I know to use guitar strings on a layout.. good on you! Us scrappers will try anything on a layout.. and the only time we renovated it was awful.. we added another 2 rooms and I could not believe the dust that came after cutting a hole in the wall... was very glad when it was finished.. so hand in there.. it will be worth it in the end...
ReplyDeletefabulous details, smashing layout and great take on sketch :)
ReplyDeleteThe texture on this creation is just superb Jaz. You always have such fabulous techniques and designs and I love dropping in on you. Amazingly inspirational
ReplyDeletea beautiful dreamy and creative layout ... loveeeeeeeeeeeeee it x
ReplyDeleteLovely layout with great details.
ReplyDeleteGuitar strings is a new one!! Great layout, pity no fishies for dinner that night though.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the renos, they are the pits but will be so enjoyable when finished.
xx M
Outstanding LO. Love all of it!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat Layout Jas!, well done on rescuing the guitar strings! There's always next time on the fishing trip. :)
ReplyDeleteOh Jas, Love, love, love what you've done with the sketch! Amazing lo!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful page !! It has an 'elegant' earthiness to it and love the look of the guitar strings. Ooh I hope by now you have your new floor....you're not alone when it comes to renovation dramas. I don't know anyone who has had an 'incident' free renovation. I had half my bathroom tiled in new white tiles only the tiles used came from 2 different "batches", so some were slightly 'grey'. I picked it up ( the tiler hadn't noticed ) so they had to be removed, a new lot of tiles ordered ( I double checked they all had the same "batch Number) and we started again ! Frustrating and annoying but worth it in the end, I'm sure you'll love your new floor. xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous page, Jasmine! These colors are delightful and warm..and I love all the fun details! Well done!
