Just popping in to share a page I created earlier this month. It actually fitted with the current sketch at Stuck Sketches which is this (and I kind of flipped it a bit):
I have not played along at Stuck for such a loooooooong time. Actually, there are a few of my fave sites that I haven't had time to join in with so hopefully with the kids back at school I will have extra time to play along.
I know it is a little after Christmas now but I wanted to get this pic scrapped. The photos look really light which they are but I liked the whimsical effect it gave them (and they do show up a little lighter here too sorry).
And today was a big milestone in our house as our little girl went to school.
With three big brothers at school, she was very excited to finally be going too and she went off very excited and happy....and came home the same way too which is a bonus.
It was really hard to let her go and yesterday I had a very heavy heart thinking of her "leaving" but today, I was full of pride and excitement for her. The beginning of a new adventure.
See you soon.

Very cute page. Love the "subtle" Christmas effects and was that an iPhone touch on the list ? Love how it it's only listed 3rd. I know your little one has just gone off to school, but at least you still have them all living under the same roof. Make the most of tucking them in and kissing them good night because before you know it, they will have flown the coop. After being on holiday and travelling 24/7 for four weeks with our two girls, now that I'm home and they have gone back to Melb. and Adelaide I miss them all over again, so much....you never, ever really let go. Sorry to rave on, just having a moment and your little one going off to school brought it on lol. xx

ReplyDeleteGorgeous layout and the light photos work; you are right, they add a touch of mystery.
What a darling hanging onto those straps for dear life - too precious - hope she is still happy and you are not pining too much! Lovely layout - like the contrast between paper & photo!
